A teenager is next

Oh goodness, Beckett is growing up too fast.  This past week, she decided that Jacob is no longer “Daddy”.  It’s now “Dad”.  And, I swear she sounds like a teenager when she says “Dad, can you help me?”  or “No, Dad.  No.” I told her I needed to still be Mommy for awhile.  Mom is too much.

If the whole “Dad” thing wasn’t enough – I got hit with quite a jolt yesterday when I asked her about the shoe she was struggling to get on.  She was on the verge of a meltdown and I asked “Honey, can I help you?“.  Her response was – “No.  I’m having an issue!

Oi - that's a surly face if I ever saw one.
